Easy Read and accessible formats

These resources are available in accessible formats to help more children, young people, families and workers access information and learning. The collection includes easy-read resources and other accessible materials covering topics such as bodies, boundaries, consent, relationships, technology use and personal safety. We know that there are currently limited resources in accessible formats that help workers prevent, recognise and respond to problematic and harmful sexual behaviour. This collection brings together the resources we have identified and will continue to grow as new resources become available.

Respond

If you’re worried your child has displayed problematic sexual behaviour or their behaviour has harmed themselves or others, it’s important to know that help is available. If your child has told you they’ve been harmed or that they’ve hurt someone else, let them know they’ve done the right thing by telling you and let them talk. Sometimes parents and carers are directly affected by a child's sexual behaviour, or are supporting multiple children when harm has occurred within a family. These situations can be upsetting, confusing and emotionally demanding. Support is available for everyone affected, including parents and carers, and you do not need to navigate these concerns alone The resources in this collection can help you get started to support your child. Additional support services – including for parents and carers themselves are also available.
